About Kenny Tomlin
As Founder and CEO, Kenny Tomlin has led Rockfish Interactive to become one of the fastest growing interactive agencies in the country with 900% growth over the past three years. He actively participates in the execution of many clients projects and leads our emerging technologies and product development group, Rockfish Labs, that has launched seven new businesses and eight proprietary technologies. It’s this “hands-on” involvement and entrepreneurial spirit that gives him the insight to successfully grow a business known for changing the model of what it means to be a digital agency.
Prior to founding Rockfish Interactive, Kenny successfully launched and managed I-Soft, Inc. a leading interactive design agency in Dallas, Texas. Kenny also founded CustomGolf.com in the late 90s. As CEO of CustomGolf.com, he managed the company’s dramatic rise from a small startup to one of the most recognized golf brands on the Internet. In 1999, CustomGolf.com was chosen as one of the 10 best examples of e-commerce. Both companies were acquired in 1999.
In addition to leading Rockfish, Kenny is the founder or partner in a number of companies, including Silver Joe’s Coffee and Silver Joe’s Café, Baumans Studio, Genofish.com, CrazyHotJob.com, Fourthbook.com, TidyTweet.com, and Obvious Investments, LLC. He is a frequent speaker on marketing, social media, technology, and entrepreneurialism.
Kenny holds bachelor’s degrees in communications and political science and a master’s degree in theology. In 2006 Kenny was selected by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal as one of Northwest Arkansas’ top businessmen under 40 and in 2009 as one of Arkansas top Forty under 40. In 2008 Rockfish was selected by Ad Age as the Small Agency of the Year and was number 3 on Ad Age's Agency A-List for 2009 which recognizes the 10 best agencies in the world.
